Ammunition
For those competitors that require ammunition for the match, we will supply ammunition upon arrival in Aruba, prior to the match.
We will be able to supply:
- 9mm Luger 124GR. FMJ – Winchester (USA) – US$ 30 per 50 rounds.
- .40 S&W 180 GR. FMJ- Winchester (USA) – US$ 35 per 50 rounds.
Please mark on the registration form, how much ammunition you require for the match, so we are able to reserve the amount required for you, upon arrival on Aruba. Please do remember the amount of ammunition is limited, so it will be reserved on priority request.
Competitors traveling with their own ammunition are urged to contact their airline(s) to be used en route, well in advance of the actual travel dates, in order to determine their prevailing policies. Airlines are NOT compelled to observe IATA recommendations, and they may refuse any ammunition for carriage.
Competitors are cautioned that MOST airlines observe IATA recommendations, which permit each passenger to carry a maximum of 5 kilogram (11 lbs.) of ammunition as checked baggage. This limit equates to approximately 400 rounds of 9mm or 300 rounds of .40 S&W.
A maximum of 400 rounds of ammunition imported as checked baggage by any passenger, whose name is mentioned on the firearms permit for the match, will be free of duties & taxes upon arrival in Aruba. Quantities in excess of this amount will be confiscated by Aruba Customs on arrival and/or maybe penalized by an import duty on the entire batch of ammunition.
